GM Canada July Sales Results
John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, “While July sales slowed slightly after a strong June, we continue to see growing strength in our brands and products. Our retail-focused plan is working, with retail sales up 4 per cent for the year.”
July 2016 Brand Sales Highlights:
- Chevrolet sales are up 1 per cent calendar year to date driven by sales of the Spark (up 70 per cent CYTD), Volt (up 192 per cent CYTD), Impala (up 15 per cent CYTD) and Traverse (up 18 per cent CYTD)
- Buick sales are up 13 per cent calendar year to date with continued strong performance from its SUV portfolio including the Encore (up 9 per cent CYTD)
- Sales of GMC utilities are up 51 per cent calendar year to date led by sales of the Terrain (up 2 per cent CYTD) and Canyon (up 12 per cent CYTD)
- Cadillac sales are up 1 per cent for the month driven by sales of the Escalade (up 66 per cent for the month)
Across our brands, the integration of 4G LTE technology on more than 30 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles is driving customer interest in our products. With mobile data speeds of up to 10 times faster than 3G, customers are showing great interest in the ability of GM vehicles to act as Wi-Fi hot spots, allowing customers to connect up to seven different devices.
